When the monster is in its natural state it is very unruly. Her hair is extremely curly, and because she's an actress she has to keep it long. Its way too thick for her to straighten everyday, so usually she leaves it crazy unless she's going to an audition. Naturally her hair is brunette, but if a casting director wants her to die it, or have her put on a wig she usually complies without a question. There have been occasions where Emma had to go around as a blonde. She much prefers her natural brunette, but she literally can't afford to argue.

Much like her hair, her color is changeable. If a casting director was to, perhaps, tell her to put in blue contacts she would. Naturally she has brown eyes. Unlike her hair they are pretty. Her eyes are her best feature hands down.

In her mind Emma has a very normal looking face. Dark hair, dark eyes, all very common. Her complexion is very pale, and she has a slightly round face.

Emma is very petite at 5'4", and extremely thin at 110 pounds. She has to watch what she eats, and always attends dance practices which manage to keep her thin. Sometimes she borders on anorexia when she isn't in a job because of the competition, but currently she looks healthy.

Emma has gone through a lot for someone her age. She has been told no many times by casting directors, and some have even commented on the way she looks. From that she's hardened. She is not easily hurt, and not easily put back. Em strives to do to best for herself, not anyone else. If she did a wonderful job at her audition and didn't get cast....in her mind she did. If she did a lousy job at an audition and did get cast, she considers it luck and will try her hardest to make her end performance better. Sometimes her determination is a turn off. So many men are intimidated by her because she is such a strong woman. Em would never give up her personality for a man, so she's single. She has accepted this and intends to stay single.
Even at Hogwarts Emma was really a muggle. She was a very talented witch, and graduated in the number one slot in her class, but she was distant with magic. Her real love was musical theatre. This fact kept her away from the wizarding world after graduation. Emma has lived a long time without her magic, and even though she's an Order Member....she hardly attends the meetings. In general she's learned to live a purely muggle life. Emma has given up a lot for her love of music, therefore she isn't ready to give up anymore for a man or a person. This pretty much explains why men are afraid of her.
Aside from her passionate love affair with theatre, Emma is also very dedicated to her friends and family. Any wizard or witch friend she has she still remains in contact with. Em's loyal to anyone who she's ever called 'friend', and even more dedicated to her family. Emma is easy to get along with because of this. She's trustworthy because she's so loyal, and she's honest. Some of her friends don't like that trait because she doesn't refrain herself from telling the truth.

Emma Michelle Collingsworth was born on the second of July to Ethan and Anora Collingsworth. She was the first daughter of the two, and remained that way for a long time. Both Ethan and Anora were muggles. Ethan was a doctor, and Anora an Interior Designer. The two were a very young couple at the time, but nonetheless through their love they made it. Emma's early childhood was a bit rough. Ethan was fresh out of med school, and had a lot of loans to pay back, and Anora was unemployed. Once Ethan got a job the family picked up quickly, eventually becoming very wealthy. Emma honestly doesn't recall the poorer years of her family. As a little girl Emma had a very obvious talent for music, singing in particular. Her parents immediately signed her up for voice lessons, and she began her love affair with musical theatre. Soon after that she was taking dance lessons and looking forward to a career on Broadway.
At the age of eight her twin sisters were born. Emma was a very proud older sister. She loved the twins to pieces. To this day she manages to keep a watchful eye on them. That same year she began showing signs of possessing magic. She accidentally set her teacher's dress on fire. It freaked her parents out, and scared to school administration. Inevitably she got her acceptance letter when she was eleven years old. To say the least the family was scared. They were both muggles so they didn't deal with this sort of thing. Eventually they grew proud of their little girl. Soon Emma was off to her first year at Hogwarts.
Really Emma didn't want to attend Hogwarts. She liked her life as it was. When she realized she didn't have a choice she forced herself to think optimistically. When she got there she was sorted into the Gryffindor House. The sorting hat didn't seem to have a problem with placing her. She made friends easily, and the studies came quickly. However, she yearned for music, and was not really all that happy at Hogwarts. She found herself eager to go back home for the holidays, and excited for the summer. A lot of her friends who were muggleborn had the opposite outlook. Her second year wasn't much different from her first year, only she knew the castle better, and knew her professors before the year began.
In hopes to enthuse her, a professor taught her legilimency in her sixth year. Emma caught on quickly because she was a fast learner, and a talented witch. It didn't really impress her that much, and she found herself still liking muggle life better. After graduation she basically handed in her wand. She went into the showbiz. She auditioned for a lot of shows, and eventually, in 1973, she got the role of Fredrika Armfeldt in the original cast of A Little Night Music. After her performance she became a top prospect in theatre. She got cast as Julie Jordan in the revival production of Carousel. She went on as Velma Kelly's understudy in Chicago, and then Eva Peron's understudy. Soon after that she was cast as Johanna Barker in the original cast of Sweeney Todd.
The writers of a new musical, Les Miserables, saw her performance as Julie, and then Eva, and were very impressed. They asked her to their workshop. She was eventually picked as Eponine, and will be in the original production in France, London, and eventually on Broadway. To say the least Emma is very excited, and finally feels her career has taken off.
